UP COMING EVENTS
Dracula's Ball

Dracula's Ball is one of the largest regularly occuring vampire-related events in the country, featuring live bands, vendors, DJs, door prizes, and more. The Ball takes place 4-5 times per year in Philadelphia.

The first Dracula’s Ball event of 2002 will take place on Saturday, February 16th at the Trocadero Theatre, from 9pm to 2:15am. Headlining the show will be the newly-reformed EMPIRE HIDEOUS. Newcomers may remember frontman Myke Hideous best from his latest project, Spy Society 99, or his recent stint as lead singer for The Misfits, but old timers will remember The Empire Hideous and their rep for intense, theatrical dark rock ‘n’ roll. Also appearing will be EBM act Matrix (signed to Germany’s Out of Line label), guaranteed to deliver a high energy set of industrial dance music. Behind the turntables will be DJ D’arcangel and DJ Rexx Arkana.

ENTERTAINMENT NEWS

Buffy RPG Coming

den Studios announced an agreement with Donruss Playoff to design, produce and distribute a role-playing board game based on the UPN series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Donruss, which makes collectible-card games, is a licensee of 20th Century Fox, which produces the show. Currently in development, the Buffy game is slated to hit shelves in summer 2002. The Buffy the Vampire Slayer core rule book is scheduled for release in late summer 2002. C.J. Carella, creator of the WitchCraft and Armageddon role-playing games, will write the Buffy book. The core rule book will be followed by the Slayer's Handbook, Monster Smackdown, Welcome to Sunnydale and other supplements.

Buffy/Angel Crossovers?

UPN's Buffy the Vampire Slayer creator Joss Whedon told the New York Daily News that a crossover with The WB's Buffy spinoff series Angel may still be in the works, even though the two shows air on different networks and producers have previously downplayed the likelihood of a pair-up. "It's not something we're pursuing this year, but it's something we might get into next year if things have cooled down between the two networks," Whedon told the newspaper.
