In the extremely humourous stories that follow we see how Scully and Mulder both perceive each other. (On this case at least) Scully sees Mulder as overly-exuberant with childlike giddiness as he explains the case which may concern vampiric activity. On the other side, Mulder sees Scully as totally unenthusiastic, questioning all of his theories about the case and more content with lusting after the cute Sheriff Hartwell. (Whom Mulder observes has big buck teeth!) In the end, the Agents return to the town where they learn that all the residents are actual vampires who, except for one, have learned to live in civilised society.

Starring: John Shea, Victoria Pratt, Victor Webster, Forbes March, Lauren Lee Smith, Tom McCamus Guest Star(s): Amdrew Martin (Caleb Mathias), Larissa Laskin (Pamela Fries), Raven Duada (Maria)
Summary: Emma (Lauren Lee Smith) abandons her usually reserved nature when she goes to a popular club with Brennan (Victor Webster). She is swept away by Caleb Mathias (Andrew Martin), a brooding young man. In a moment of passion, the two kiss deeply, but suddenly Caleb's kiss turns evil. When he pulls away slightly, a blue glow which is literally sucking the life force out of her emanates between them. When Brennan finds Emma struggling to break from Caleb's embrace, he violently pulls the couple apart, ending the transfer before it was completed. The two men engage in a brutal fight, until Caleb finally runs off. After describing the incident to Adam (John Shea), Emma defies him by going back to the club with Brennan and Jesse (Forbes March) to investigate. They get nowhere with the tight-lipped waitress, Maria (Raven Duada), who had been eyeing Emma just before the incident with Caleb. Brennan is sure she knows more than she's telling. Meanwhile at Genomex, Eckhart (Tom McCamus) reports that six female mutant recruits have mysteriously died in the past five months. Eckhart's new second in command, Pamela Fries (Larissa Laskin), believes the deaths are the work of a mutant serial killer who lures his victims into submission, as none of them show signs of a struggle. Eckhart insists that the murderer be stopped immediately before any more mutants die. At Sanctuary, Shalimar (Victoria Pratt) learns about the six missing female mutants and informs Adam, who orders Emma off the streets immediately. Just as Brennan and Jesse are about to take her back to Sanctuary, an angry and vengeful Caleb returns. He and Brennan battle once again, unaware that Pamela is watching from a parked GSA car. Convinced she's found her serial killer, Pamela guns the accelerator and races forward. Jesse pulls Brennan to safety, but Caleb is not so lucky. Emma discovers that Caleb is far from dead, however, when he suddenly appears at Sanctuary. When Brennan and Jesse watch surveillance tapes from the morgue which show Caleb walking out of the building with Pamela, that they realize that he has the ability to resurrect himself from the dead. Back at the club, Emma and Shalimar look for clues when Emma simply vanishes. She awakens to find herself handcuffed in a dark cellar with Caleb and Pamela, whom he has also taken prisoner. When Caleb leaves, Pamela informs Emma that the GSA will eventually find her through her tracking device. With some convincing, Emma and Pamela pool their powers to release Pamela from her shackles. Once Pamela is free, she is reluctant to help Emma. Tossing a key that falls at Emma's feet, Pamela tries to escape, but Caleb returns and lunges at her. Pamela uses her mutant powers to freeze him to death, but he revives himself and overpowers her. Kissing her deeply, he re-charges himself with her life force, dropping her lifeless body. When he turns his attention to Emma, she warns him that the GSA will be there any moment because of Pamela's tracking device. Caleb hauls Pamela's body upstairs and dumps it in a closet. By the time he returns, Emma has freed herself with the key and is about to flee. Caleb, feeling deceived, sucks the life force out of her as well. Meanwhile, Eckhart is more anxious than ever to get his hands on Caleb to study his DNA. Back at the club, Brennan learns that Maria is actually a mutant who has been helping Caleb track down his prey to avoid becoming his next meal herself. When she refuses to reveal Caleb's whereabouts, Shalimar convinces Maria to offer her to Caleb. Tragically, by the time Shalimar gets to Caleb's cellar, Emma is dead. Enraged, she takes Caleb out with a fatal blow, before reporting Emma's death to Adam, who is stunned and saddened. Adam, realizing this is precisely the moment when Caleb will rise again and need to feed, tries to warn Shalimar, but she's too distraught over Emma to hear him. Sure enough, Caleb comes to and goes after Shalimar. Brennan arrives in the nick of time and throws an arc of electricity, killing Caleb. Suddenly, a strange glow emanates from Caleb's mouth, as the life force drains from him and is returned to Emma. Back at Genomex, Eckhart is frustrated when Pamela comes back to life, seeing her resurgence as a lost research opportunity.

Synopsis: Going to Transylvania to check up on Kai's lead, they are all invited to dine at Lord Dracul's table for the Walpurgis Night feast.
--------------------------------------------
Episode Title: VladSummary: Kai, Xev and Stan arrive back on the LEXX together. They were greeted by 790 (or at least Kai was). Kai mentions that his protoblood is running out and that he needs to return to his cryopod to replenish himself. He wonders off with Xev and Stanley is left alone with 790. Suddenly there is a noise (like a wolf howling). If you remember, the three Goth Girlies from the previous episode somehow managed to control Stan and he was taken to meet the super-duper-assassin (one of His Divine Shadow’s old faithful killers that was used to kill off normal assassins like Kai when they failed to perform their deathly duties). One must assume therefore, that Stan is still under their influence. Sure enough, back on the little Blue Planet, the three Goth girlies are dancing some sort of ritual ‘Feel the urge’ they chant repeatedly as they dance round a small fire. Stanley begins to feel an urge. In the Cryo-chamber, Xev persuades Kai to retire to his cryochamber. She thinks it prudent for him to conserve his protoblood. She tucks him in and kisses him goodnight, but all Kai can manage in return is some lame comment that the dead do not dream…. Back on Earth, the three Goth girlies are prancing around the fire. Whatever they were trying to do to Stanley, he’s too far away for their incantation to have an effect. They try a different tactic. “In thunder, lightening and in rain;” says one, “In mountain valley’s and on the plain,” says another, “In snow, in fog and on the train..” Concludes the silly blonde one. The other two look at her perplexed, it’s not normal to include modern methods of transport in ancient spells and the silly blonde one is chastised before they begin again. The spell conjures a big blue swirly thing from the fire and it weaves its way up to the LEXX, through the passageways and into Stanley’s head. He wakes from his sleep and finds that the three Goth girlies have managed to manifest themselves as dastardly spirits in the form of Kai, Xev and 790. Stanley goes to the bridge and finds that the three Goth girlies (manifested as a gothic looking Xev, a sweet (if somewhat silly) 790 and the queerest looking Kai you could imagine. Stan seems to realise that these are not his real colleagues, but their effect on his willpower still remains strong. They tell him that they have to rebuild their relationship with him and when Stanley makes the mistake of asking Kai (Muffy) ‘how’, the Kai imitation gives Stanley a whopping kiss on the lips. They chase him into a moth where he decides to take a ride to clear his head. Then, hopefully things will have returned to normal when he gets back. As you can guess however, the control of the Goth Girlies is resolute and Stanley (half against his will) is forced to steer the moth back to Dracul’s Castle in Transylvania. He lands right next to his Goth girlfriends who hitch a ride back to the LEXX to retrieve the protoblood for their master. Stan begrudgingly does as they ask, but has the presence of mind to attempt to make a pass at them. They refuse his amorous intentions when Muffy grabs at Stan’s genitals and insists that he take them to the protoblood. Stanley does as he’s told. While Xev sleeps peacefully in her furry blue outfit, Stanley and the Goth Girlies are hovering around Kai’s cryochamber. They lick and kiss the chamber respectful of the dead dude inside it and the Muffy grabs hold of the protoblood and insists that they leave immediately. Unfortunately, the silly blonde girly decided to give Kai’s cryochamber a sloppy wet kiss and her lips froze on the glass (don’t you just hate it when that happens). One of her colleagues helps her out by pulling her sharply and tearing her away from the glass leaving half her lips still glued to the surface. Muffy knocks Stanley unconscious and the girls run off with the protoblood. Xev wakes and rushes to find Stanley unconscious and Kai bloodless. She revives Kai and Stan and they all give chase. Unfortunately, the Goth girlies manage to take a moth and escape. Before giving chase, Xev, Kai and 790 hook Stan up to a machine that can detect the substance that controls Stanley, or more specifically, the substance that allows Stanley to be controlled by the Goth Girlies. 790 soon isolates the drug and Kai recognises it as Parablood, a particularly potent concoction that forces absolute obedience to a Divine Executioner, and the name of this Divine Executioner, is Vlad, a nasty example of the Order whom Kai recognises as being powerful and successful. Kai goes on to explain that Executioners need Protoblood but they were also provided with a special bio venom called Parablood. Anyone that is poisoned with Parablood, will become a slave of the Divine Executioner. On Earth, the Goth Girlies manage to revive a fairly decrepit looking old lady with the protoblood. Within seconds the old hag has become Vlad the deadly blonde babe! Unfortunately, she’s a real nasty piece of work. Not only does she quickly despatch the poor and obedient Goth Girlies without so much as a thank you (she hacks them to death with her handy wrist knife), but worse still, her eating and drinking habits are positively disgusting! After helping herself to a healthy swig of protoblood, she speaks – while her mouth is still full! Eeeeww. Protoblood mixed with saliva dribbles down her chin in the most ungainly and unflattering manner. Where the hell do they learn such habits!? You’d think that the Divine Shadow would teach his minions to be a little more respectful of decorum, you can’t have Divine Executioners going round and dribbling over people like that, it’s disgraceful. Kai and Xev take a moth to go back to Dracul’s Castle and attempt to destroy Vlad. As they near the castle, he jumps out of the Moth and straight through a Divine Order symbol on the battlement (which opened as if expecting him) and into the lair of the Divine Executioner. The scene was set for a titanic battle of the dead killers, but it was a bit of a damp squib. They just talked at each other for a while. I was expecting them to be scratching each others eyes out, but instead, Vlad just talked to Kai about how she would infect all the Human race with Parablood and get them to exactly what she wanted – get them all to commit suicide. “And destroying the last of the Brunnen G,” She added, “will be the glorious headstone to the tomb of my satisfaction.” Apparently, Vlad was sent to hunt down Kai. His Divine Shadow ordered Kai’s execution and Vlad interrogated the time prophet to find that Kai would eventually land on Earth. She then found a bruise in the time/space fabric. During their little chat, Vlad had managed to avoid a direct confrontation with Kai with some amazing moves. She seems to have the ability to appear and disappear at will. Better still, when Kai did actually manage to fire off a shot with his handy wrist-gadget at her forehead, it simply went straight through her. She didn’t bat an eyelid. Kai, for some reason failed to realise that Vlad is made of the same stuff that he is. Puncturing her brain will have little or no effect. If he is to destroy her at all, she must be completely obliterated, I guess something like an atom bomb or firing her into the sun might do it. A shot from his handy wrist gadget is just gonna give her a little tickle. While Vlad plays with Kai, Xev returns to the Inn in the Village and tries to persuade the hapless Van Helsing that Vlad is real and VERY dangerous. Van Helsing isn’t too interested in her ramblings… but he is interested in her. He eventually manages to persuade him to let her search Father Borscht’s room. Eventually she finds out that Vlad cannot dim the light of a pure heart. It doesn’t seem much, but you can guess that it will have some relevance. In the Castle, the lovely Vlad is messing around with Kai. She’s basically kicking his butt all around the room. The poor dead geezer stands no chance. She stabs him with he handy wrist knife and although Kai doesn’t die, he is completely impotent against her. Vlad licks the blade provocatively and her tongue seems to grow … she presents it to him, “I will swallow every drop of your juice.” she adds. Kai makes a couple of inept attempts to destroy her, but in the end, Vlad simply pulls him close to her and says, “Blood is the life, and yours is over.” Kai is forced to kneel before her meekly and just as we think it’s all over, Vlad’s chest cavity opens and out pops a vicious looking…. erm… willy! But wait, this willy…. this HUGE willy, was quite different from most willy’s. For a start it came out a her chest (a dead givaway that I think) and also it didn’t have an eye, it had a sort of mouth (wow the horror of it all!). Kai kneels before her ready to take her willy thingy – and he does! He takes ALL of it. In the village, Xev takes Van Helsing ..... to find Kai and tell him about the pure of heart thing. But Kai is helpless, he is being gobbled up by the mouth of Vlad’s willy. All he can do is repeat that he is Kai, The last of the Brunnen G while the willy gobbles up large parts of Kai’s juice (protoblood I hope) from his chest. But Kai also mentions that His Divine Shadow is dead. Vlad is momentarily shocked by this, but her resolve remains the same. Kai eventually manages to break free of her grasp (or at least her penis like chest protuberance) and they both fall over the edge of the battlement. Kai lands heavily on the ground, but Vlad flies gracefully back to her lair in the castle. Xev’s moth, complete with Van Helsing, arrives at the castle and he is asked to fly the spare moth away from the castle. This he does while Xev leaves to find Kai. When she finds him, he explains that Vlad has almost drained her of his protoblood. She manages to help him to the moth and they head back to the LEXX. The poor Van Helsing however, is merrily flying his moth away from the castle, when Vlad glides into his cockpit. He guesses that she is Vlad, and this is confirmed when she throws him out of the moth (to his death) and then heads for the LEXX. When she gets there, she greets Stanley with a vicious bite to his neck, pumping him full of those nasty bio toxins that make him her slave…. again! When Kai and Xev arrive, Vlad attempts to destroy him again., but when Xev gives her a vicious punch, Kai tells her to run away. Vlad gives chase, and catches up with her easily. It has to be said that watching Xev running around in a very skimpy blue costume wearing high heals was a great pleasure to watch, not just because of the way she bobbles and bounced, but also because she looked so very ungainly, almost comical. Kai tried to persuade Stanley to take Kai to the cryochamber so that he could get some more protoblood. He managed to explain to Stanley that Vlad wanted him in the cryochamber so that he would be unable to attack her. Stanley (gullible as ever) believes him and takes Kai away. Meanwhile, Xev is caught by Vlad who immediately grabs her and gives her a powerful suck – on the neck (as you do). Xev is now a slave of Vlad too. “I am yours for ever” She confirms to Vlad. They all meet in the cryochamber. Vlad walks over to Kai, she’s pretty damned cocksure of herself, “I find this moment extremely satisfying,” She says with a smirk. “You will not have me Vlad.” Says the almost virginal Kai (or should that be vaginal). “I will have you now. Tell me you love me.” She says. And then she gets out her willy and shoves it into Kai’s tummy (where he puts his protoblood). Suddenly Xev rolls herself up and with lightening speed pushes the surprised Vlad into the cryochamber and closes it. Then she punches Stanley unconscious to make sure that he doesn’t try to open the chamber and release is mistress. Apparently, Xev has a pure heart and as we know, the Divine Assassin cannot dim the heart of a pure heart. Later, Stanley is cleansed of the Parablood and they all live to fight Vlad another day.

Relic Hunter
Episode Title: Vampire's Kiss
Episode #: 302, Season 3/7
First Aired: 10/29/01
Episode Length: 60 minutes
(CC), In Stereo
Writer: Michelle Lovretta; Director: Ian Toynton
Network: Syndication
Starring: Tia Carrere, Christien Anholt, Tanja Reichert, Lawrence Bayne (Kantor), Christopher Britton (Tobias), Vieslav Krystyan (Warrior), Adrian Paul (Lucas Blackmer), Maya Toman (Attendant)
Summary: Back in the day. As Count Stanislaf desperately drinks from a distinctive chalice, a violent banging on the door interrupts him. His hand, decorated with a ruby red ring, pushes a rosetta stone, revealing a hidden passageway. The vampire escapes, accidentally leaving behind the lid to his chalice as an angry mob breaks down the door. Present day. Karen sits, mesmerized by her sexy professor, Lucas Blackmer. He is wearing a ruby red ring; strikingly similar to the one the Count wore in the teaser. Blackmer is saying something about a vampire's seduction, but his words fall on deaf ears, as Karen is only concerned with his brilliant green eyes and confident demeanor. Later, Karen tells Syd that Blackmer is not only a rumored vampire, but also oddly interested in Sydney. Speaking of the devil, enter Mr. Fangsome (non other than Professor Blackmer), interrupting their conversation. The electricity between the two professors is undeniable. They discuss Blackmer's novels, particularly his one about Count Stanislaf and his missing chalice. The relic originally belonged to Vlad the Impaler (Dracula). Blackmer found the lid, but "needs" the chalice. Suddenly, a man comes out of nowhere, wielding a knife, and tries to take the lid. He fails, but manages to almost stab Syd. She fights back and the man takes off. Blackmer propositions her to help him and, after some flirtatious banter, persuades her to join him in Czechoslovakia for the hunt. Syd and Lucas check into an extravagant hotel and head to Stanislaf's castle where they find the vampire's secret crypt. As they explore, the hunters discuss the vampire allure. Blackmer, all too knowledgeable of the subject, explains how bloodsuckers blend in by mimicking their prey and living among them. Officially creeped out, Syd finds Stanislaf's escape route, via the rosetta stone, and trudges on. Back at the University, Karen convinces Nigel to help her find Blackmer's true identity. In his house they find a coffin, prescription sunblock, and oversized contact lenses. The same man who threatened Syd and Blackmer walks in on them as they rummage through Blackmer's belongings. They escape his attack unscathed, and call Syd to give her a heads up. She and Blackmer are now at a monastery where they learn Stanislaf took refuge, murdered a monk, and fled. Retracing the vampire's steps, they learn he killed 14 passengers on a boat that docked in Romania. As they head to Romania, there is another run in with the mysterious attacker, who is actually a vampire slayer. Once in Romania, our heroine finds the relic and Blackmer finally admits he is a "method writer" pretending to be a vampire in order to improve his writing style. The writer donates the chalice to the college and thanks Sydney for her work. His exit is accompanied by such an evil smirk that we are left completely unsettled with the mystery of his true identity. « RELIC HUNTER © Fireworks Entertainment Inc. and Gaumont Television. The Chronicle
Episode Title: The King is (Un)dead
Episode #: 20, Season 1
First Aired: 03/08/02
Episode Length: 60 minutes

Written by Javier Grillo-Marxuach; Directed by Krishna Rao
Network: SCI-FI
Starring: Chad Willett plays Tucker Burns, Reno Wilson plays Wes Freewald, Rena Sofer plays Grace Hall, Jon Polito plays Donald Stern, Curtis Armstrong plays Sal/Pig Boy
Summary: NEW YORK — Elvis fans who insist the King is still alive have spotted him in the most bizarre places: working undercover for the CIA, driving the open road as a long-haul trucker, or even trying out for ABC's defunct reality series Making the Band. However, the Chronicle has recently discovered that the King is actually a vampire hunter. We think. Working off a tip that Elvis sometimes appears at fan conventions, the Chronicle went undercover at Elvisopolis 3000 in New York. There, our suspicions focused on a hotel guest who checked in under one of Elvis' common aliases and was staying in a room with a number that matched the King's birthday. This lead led us to a suspiciously good Elvis look-alike. "We followed him to a service corridor above the ballroom just as the closing ceremonies were getting started," said Wes Freewald, senior Chronicle photographer and a born-again Elvis fan. "I knew something was weird about the guy even before he shot some crossbow bolts at us." Later, in the crossbow-happy Elvis's room, the Chronicle team found schematics that showed how to bypass the hotel's sprinkler system. Following the diagrams, we discovered several canisters set to dispense a clear liquid on the conventioneers. After disarming the canisters, we later realized that they contained holy water. Meanwhile, Chronicle reporter Grace Hall tracked her own story in the sewers of Brooklyn. "My source brought me to a vampire in an Elvis costume, which was pretty weird," said Hall. "It tells you something about my life when the weird thing was the Elvis costume, not the vampire." Soon, we realized that the two stories were related. "There has been a disturbing history of vampire attacks at Elvis conventions," said Sal, chief if research at the World Chronicle. "Why couldn't the vampires hang out at Limp Bizkit conventions and do us all a favor?" The vampires' presence at the convention were later confirmed when Hall entered the ballroom to witness the Elvisopolis closing ceremonies. "I looked in a mirror and half the people there didn't have reflections," Hall said. One of the reflectionally challenged ersatz-Elvi was Kingmaster Lobo, the host of the closing ceremonies and the head vampire. Luckily, someone was looking out for us in the form of our would-be King, who went by the name Jesse. Even though Jesse was the same age as Elvis would be and had much of the same biography, he insisted that he wasn't the King, but instead was a vampire hunter. He informed us that Kingmaster Lobo and his vampire Elvi planned to attack the living conventioneers at midnight — a deadline that was mere minutes away. Luckily, Jesse came prepared for a fight, bringing along a vampire-killing ultraviolet flashlight. Chronicle Editor-in-Chief Donald Stern and receptionist Vera also rushed to the hotel to help out. "Jesse explained that vampires were interested in Elvis culture because it allowed them to work at night, wear sunglasses at all times, as well as dress in capes and high collars," Freewald said. "It makes you wonder what's going on with the K.I.S.S. army." Down in the ballroom, as the vampire Elvi attacked, the Chronicle sprang into action. While Jesse fought off and killed Kingmaster Lobo, we were left to fend off a horde of the sideburn-sporting bloodsuckers. "They were coming at us from all sides," Freewald said. "Luckily I was wearing highly reflective gold lamé. Tuck B shined the U.V. light at me and my suit spread it all around the room, burning the vampires alive." After the vampires were destroyed and calm was restored, we received an amazing revelation: Jesse's last name was Garon. Jesse Garon, of course, was the name of Elvis Presley's twin brother who died at birth. However, Jesse still insisted that he was not the King. "Was it really him? My gut tells me yes," Freewald said. "For what it's worth, my gut also tells me that Tupac is somewhere fighting zombies, so take it with a grain of salt."

Syd, increasingly off-kilter, imagines Sloane threatening her. Syd chokes The Count, who offers that the drug came from Prague and was an old sample meant to be destroyed.
