Description: The Count is an undead creature, a vampire. Though he looks like a vampire, with his cape and his vampire-teeth, he doesn't act like one. The only thing he does all day is counting, mostly his pet-bats. Although he is not to compare in his behaviour to real vampires, he still has some mystic manners. When he is finished counting, you hear the crack of thunder and see the flash of lightning. And once, he hypnotized Bert and Ernie.

Count Fangula (actor, Joe Hackett) is one of six House Monster in the children's television show BEETLEBORGS or BEETLEBORGS METALLIX. The house monsters serve as background for the three (and sometimes four) kids: Drew, Jo and Roland (Josh) who transform into Beetleborgs in order to save their world from the evil CRUSTACEANS. BEETLEBORGS is a half an hour television show that aired on FOX for two seasons. The show has been cancelled, but the reruns play on UPN at various times. Check your local listings...
Beetleborgs Description: When three average kids enter the haunted Hillhurst house, little do they know that their lives are about to change forever. They accidentally unleash a funtastic phasm named Flabber who grants them each one wish, and they all choose to become their favorite comic book heroes, BEETLEBORGS. But this phasm's magic also releases the evil VEXOR and his evil MAGNAVORS from the comic book. Now, our three heroes must use their new super powers to defeat the fiendish MAGNAVORS and restore peace to their hometown of Charterville. The house monsters are friends of Flabber that just happen to haunt Hill House, the dilapidated old mansion where the kids discovered Flabber and received their powers. Now, when ever the monsters are bored or hungry or whatever, they chase the kids around the furniture, and up and down the stairs. To the amusement of children everywhere (and some adults), they never seem to catch them.
Joe Hackett's Abriviated Autobiography: I started my acting training during college, doing Shakespeare, Beckett, Sam Shepard, and other playwrights of note. I also wrote one play about a family on the east coast, which was performed in Philladelphia. I fell for a girl who lived in New York so I moved there after I graduated. I was cast Off-Broadway in A Midsummer Night's Dream w/ Broadway director Gene Feist. I signed my first stage union contract in New York a few months later to play a number of roles in a summer theatre in New England. A friend, who I met at the summer stock company, encouraged me to go with him to California, LA that is. Well...after watching the movie "Dazed and Confused" seven times I thought I had nothing better to do. Well, we lost so much money in Atlantic City, gambling, that he drove us home (as we were to drive across America). But, I think my Dad got used to the idea of having me out of the house, and offered me a frequent flyer coupon to LA. I flew out about two weeks before the big EARTHQUAKE. Living alone for the first time wasn't all that it was craked up to be. A year later I was working regularly as an actor. A year after that I landed a role ... which at the time didn't have a name ... as a Vampire on Big Bad Beetleborgs. And the rest ... as they say .... is history.

Synopsis: Animated fantasy sitcom. The adventures of the Transylvanian dwelling Count Duckula. Count Duckula was a centuries-old vampire who also happened to be a duck. While trying to revive him, the Count’s assistant Igor accidentally injected him with ketchup instead of blood. This mishap resulted in the canard’s refusal to eat meat and his becoming a strict vegetarian. Another side effect was that the ancient bird had a driving desire to become an entertainer instead of a longing to bite the necks of unsuspecting swans. Following his new wanderlust, Count Duckula took Igor along to all his old haunts (a new location each week), traveling inside his castle itself. Following close behind the duo was Dr. Von Goosewing, who was determined to deliver a stake to the breast of the fine-feathered fiend. Through it all, Count Duckula’s nanny was the cheerful voice of reason, regardless of the circumstances.
