How can I find people willing to donate?
Go to goth clubs. Those are great "hunting grounds". Look around. Watch the people. You may see someone who you just get a feeling about...you just KNOW. If not...perhaps there just aren't many other vampyrs in your town.

My best friend and I drink blood from one another during sex...she did this with another girl she's seeing. Do you think I should make her get a blood test done before we have sex and/or drink each other's blood again?
Contrary to popular opinion, blood drinking has never, I repeat never been a safe activity. Not 1000 years ago, not 200 years ago, not now. Understand that fact and you are already safer than you were.
Blood drinkers can never be 100% safe. But since nothing in this world is 100% safe, you're not alone in taking risks. That aside, there are some basic precautions you can take to make the experience safer. Obviously, you can't take the person's blood to a lab on the spot and have it checked before you touch it, therefore you should always know the person you drink from (never take from a one night stand - if the person did 'whatever' with you the first night, what makes you think they haven't with others?) . Find out who else the person is having intimate contact with (and despite some rather disturbing comments I've heard recently, YES, YOU CAN CATCH DISEASE FROM ORAL SEX! Get the facts, please!). Get yourself checked out regularly. Don't get involved with anyone who uses intravenous drugs. Make sure your cutting impliments are sterilized, etc. Take precautions.

What are good steps to ward off psychic attacks?
Learn basic shielding--forming your "aura" (the biomagnetic field around your body) into a barrier against outside energy. (I can provide links to sites with more info if needed).

What ARE psychic attacks? When do they occur? How can I tell if I AM under psychic attack, or if it's just something else ordinary happening?
The first thing you should do if you experience any abnormal physical symptoms that persist over a long period of time is see a doctor, and rule out physical problems. I have known people who have had symptoms which they thought were a psychic attack, but turned out to be symptoms of a medical condition. Don't risk it--eliminate this possibility first.
Some symptoms associated with the more common types of psychic attacks are dizziness, headaches, nausea, and disorientation. In the case of a drain attack (such as an attack by a psychic vampire), unusual fatigue and lassitude are reported, as well as depressed immune system and occasionally emotional depression.
Unfortunately, psychic attacks can target anyone. Persons who are involved with energy working, or who were born psychic, are more likely to be targets. While you might have upset someone and caused the attack yourself, quite often you did nothing at all. The attacker is either simply a bully who targets people he feels he can torment, or, more commonly, the attacker has mistaken your energy pattern for the pattern of another person, and the attack was meant for that other person. Occasionally, a very skilled energy worker will be targeted by a person who wants to test their strength.
